They have done work for me and some friends of mine at our air field but I was pretty disappointed when I called to get a price on the replacement of a AC clutch coil but the wanted 138.00 for them to give me a est first.
I have nothing against American Pride but do have an issue with the company they use for re-manufactured engines and transmissions. Read more. I purchased the transmission from an authorized Jasper dealer summer of 2017 in Yorktown, VA. The original transmission was slipping in reverse after 87k miles. I paid 5800 + for Jasper replacement. Took my 03 f150 there that ran great but had a little bit of a rough idle. Went to pick it up after 2 days and now it won't idle and runs like crap can't even drive it. Of course they want $423.00 for whatever they did to it. I've spent over $2500.00 there in the past but will never spend another dime there. Would not let them work on my lawnmower. American pride had my vehicle for nearly a month. We were constantly told that it was a big job and the reason it was taking so long was because they wanted to make sure the job was done right and ensure that we were getting quality parts and service. Wife went to the shop on 60 west for a tire patch. Comes back saying that the alignment on the car is so out of whack that we needed an alignment in addition to 4 new tires. Take it to Howard Motors on 2nd Street and they said that the alignment is perfect and that the tire was defected and should have been taken back to the dealership (the car is a 2015). I was very disappointed with my experience at American Pride. I had an appointment to get my oil changed at 1:00 and I dropped my car off at 12:15. I was quoted on the phone the day before to have my oil change done before 2:00 and when I got back to American Pride at 2:00 my car had not even been brought into the garage. When I asked about my car I was told that it was almost on the lifts.
