I drive all the way across Austin just to take my car to David and his shop. I wouldn't trust my car to anyone else. Awesome customer service, friendly and honest :)
DO NOT TRUST NEWMAN’S AUTOMOTIVE – They damaged my car and messed with my keys I brought my Audi A3 in for repairs and picked it up in worse shape than I left it. My car came back with: A huge dent on the passenger door A hole in the windshield cowl Rear damage like a garage door had dropped on it Fresh white paint all over the entire passenger-side bottom panel — clearly from someone taking it for a reckless drive It gets worse. Daughter’s car broke down in Austin Texas on her way home from spring break and we are from Indiana! So with that being said she was in a bad situation and they knew it! Her alternator was bad and they charged her 1500 dollars to replace her alternator and belt which is insane. I do all maintenance on my cars and daughters car and never in my life have I ever heard of someone charging 1500 for not even a hour job so that was a thousand dollars a hour! **Edit to add: it took an Auto Nation mobile mechanic 10 MINUTES to put in and take out my old battery** This place couldn’t do that in the 4 1/2 hours my car was there. Crazy. DO NOT go here for services. I do not recommend. It took 4 and 1/2 hours to get an estimate. I had gotten severely sick when I was suppose to bring it in this morning. I would not recommend Newman’s auto group, please look at their negative reviews on Google and yelp, don’t be scammed on the good reviews. What I read on the negative reviews is exactly what they did to me. They worked on my truck before and since it went good the first time I brought it back for a repair. Here is my stressful story!!! David Newman was a longtime family friend so I write this with sadness. In October 2023 I was told by a Chevy dealership that i needed a transmission replacement . The auto strike was in full effect and the time without my car had already passed a month and now a completion date was unknown. At this time I saw Mr Newman and he convinced me to have my car towed to his shop with promises that I could trust him to have my back and count on much quicker repairs than Chevy.
