Have a 2010 prius andJust moved to ABQ. My brake master cylinder and pump went out. I was so tired of paying dealer prices and asked Google AI to find a reasonably priced mechanic shop. I’m a past customer from Dearholt Auto Care, now serviced by Browns Automotive Experts. Gosh, how should I say this? An ‘expert’ should do their very best not to make minor mistakes on their automotive repair work. It makes me wonder if there are other mistakes I have missed during my post-repair inspection. Decided to try this place for the first time after receiving a coupon in the mail for an oil change. We’ve always taken our cars to Jiffy Lube, but decided to try someplace new. From the moment I scheduled an appointment, it was top notch! It was simple to schedule online and they took my vehicle in as soon as I arrived. Nice customer service up front. Had a diagnostic and oil change and with tax it was $108.09 which seems pricey since the diagnostic was free. Asked them to check tires and address the tire pressure indicator light and was told they did when I picked up at the very end of the day. The light was still on and I had to go get a pressure gauge and add air myself on the way home. This auto shop was recommended by neighbor. I needed some work done on my 10 year old vehicle. They went through everything. Then they emailed me a copy of what all they saw wrong. They called me and we discussed what were safety issues now and what we just needed to watch. Didn't try to upsell me. Showed pictures of what they saw and explained what the pictures were looking at. Service you don't see these days. Thank you.
